“Birthday in the Canyon”

The sky is rotten

Dogs bark in the canyon

And nobody knows who I am

Whoever I was forgot them first

Or didn’t bother to care

Now, I’m left with echos

And a heaviness that cannot be lifted

By the arms of others

Sea, swallow me whole

For I sink on land

And they promise me I’d float in you

Happy Birthday in the canyon

All heard what was only for one

Being alive is watching joy

And waiting till they sing for you

I’m here

Catch.
